ABOUT EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUES

A practical approach.
A gentle pace.

EFT is often called tapping. You use your fingertips to gently tap on specific points while focusing on a thought, feeling or concern.

So, what is
the tapping for?

EFT brings together elements of talking, focused attention and tapping on points associated with acupressure. In a session, Lynne guides you through the process and checks in with how you’re feeling.

Traditional explanations describe these points in terms of meridians, or energy pathways. That is one way practitioners describe EFT; it should not be understood as a proven explanation of how the body works.

Research into EFT is developing. The evidence and explanations for how it may work remain debated, and individual experiences vary.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU

You tap you.
I’ll tap alongside you.

01

Fully clothed

This is different from a massage treatment. You remain fully clothed and tap on yourself.

02

Your words, your choice

You don’t have to share every detail of an experience. We can discuss what feels comfortable and pause whenever you need to.

03

A skill to take with you

Lynne can show you ways to use tapping outside sessions, in settings where you feel comfortable.

Bring what’s
on your mind.

You might want to explore stress, worries, grief, confidence, relationship difficulties or beliefs that seem to hold you back. Sessions can also make space for performance goals or exam worries.

The initial consultation is a chance to talk about your circumstances and whether Lynne’s approach feels appropriate for you.

EFT is a complementary wellbeing approach. It is not a substitute for medical care, diagnosis or psychological treatment. No particular result or number of sessions can be guaranteed.
